By lengthy, I mean one that takes more than a week to complete, the longer the better. The ones I already have areGCN:Skies of Arcadia LegendsPM:TTYDPS2:KHKH2KH Re:CoMRadiata StoriesNOTE: Please do not recommend Tales of Symphonia, I hate that game with a PASSION.Looking for a lengthy GCN/PS2 RPG
FFX
Dragon Quest VIIILooking for a lengthy GCN/PS2 RPG
Im going to ignore you time criteria because that varies from one person to the next and how much you choose to do in a game. I will just suggest some killer rpg's. Gamecube: FF:CC. PS2: Dark Cloud 2, .Hack 1-4, .Hack GU 1-3, Disgaea 1-2, Makai Kingdom, Phantom Brave, Front Mission 4, Phantasy Star Universe 1-2, Jade Cacoon 2
And two that you absolutely must own if you have a ps2 is Azure Dreams and Vagrant Story for the ps1. There are other great rpg's on the ps1 but those two have a ton of replay value.
Oh yeah definately FF10 and 12.
Definitely FFXII. There are so many side quests(hunting marks, fighting extra bosses, acquiring certain items, etc.) in that game, you can easily get strayed from completing the actual storyline quest in the game. There's tons(and I mean TONS!) of extra things to do, you can easily have hundreds of hours just playing that game.
FFX, FFX-2, FFXII, Persona 3, and Persona 4. Awesome games.DQVIII is also pretty lengthy, but I grew kind of bored with it after awhile.
Suikoden 5 if you can find it, should be a good 40 hour game at least from what i remember.
Dark Cloud 2 is about 70-100 hours Depending on how good you are.
Persona 3,4, Final Fantasy XII. Those titles can take any where from 40-100 + hours
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES- You're looking at about 100+ hours here.Final Fantasy X %26 XII- Both very lengthy
Persona 3: FES is exactly what you are looking for. About 70 hours for main story (make sure you save alot, or else you'll be looking at about 100 hours for main story with a lot of frustration :P ) and around 30 hours for the additonal story. I've heard Dragon Quest VIII is also very long. Good luck with the search! :)
Out of FFX and FFXII, which would you recommend? I might have a hard time finding FFX in stores...
Out of FFX and FFXII, which would you recommend? I might have a hard time finding FFX in stores...
Personaly I would say FFXII. It has a better story, cast of characters (except for Vann and Penelo), battle system, replay value. Also if you try to go for 100% in FFXII it will take you from 100 to 200 hours +
Dragon Quest VIII
Okay, thanks guys.
Besides what's been posted...GCN: Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Baten Kaitos Origins, Fire Emblem: Radiant DawnPS2: Tales of the Abyss
bahahahaha 12 has a better story than 10?? Not even freaking close. 12 is all about political bullcrap and 50 thousand different political factions. FF10 has the much better story. Not only that but FF10 has cool item customization and mini-games where as 12 has NONE. The only thing cool about 12 is the graphics and the laidback autonomous combat. I would go with 10 over 12 any day of the week. But if you can't get it then so be it but seriously you should make every effort. You can buy it off something like ebay ???
