Well, the reasons you gave should be enough to help you decide. You either want it or you don't.I'd say get it. It's a top console with alot of classic games. Some of my personal favorites on there. I still play my N64 pretty often. Top console.

I got one for 70 bucks on Craigslist with 2 remotes and 3 games...now I have like 50 games.One of the best investments ever.

you could probably find someone willing to sell one on Craigslist for like $20

Its a good console. The VC(barring a Miracle) will never have any of the Rare games which in my opinion, made the N64. Games like Banjo Kazooie/Tooie and other Rare games were just amazing. I need to get another N64 sometime.
