Aladdin - Genesis vs SNES

Im just looking for a solid platformer, which game is better. I mean graphically its night-and-day but what about gameplay?Aladdin - Genesis vs SNES
Genesis Aladdin is usually considered the superior game. I also have it and its an awesome game and pretty difficult. Ive played the SNES version once and it was ok, not a bad game but I like the genesis version better.Aladdin - Genesis vs SNES

And the kiddies have a tendency to overlook anything on the Gen
I have never played the SNES version, but judging from videos I've seen of it, the graphics are inferior to the Mega Drive version.

same here, ive only seen the SNES version and it looks worse then the Mega Drive version.

the MD version's graphics are actually very good. the only downside is the music, which has the typical MD quality

the best version was on the PC, it had the MD graphics (slightly better colours on PC) and gameplay, but with far better sound. but otherwise its the exact same game

but yeah overall get the megadrive/PC version.
The Mega Drive version is by much superior to the SFC one.
What are the differences? The game is awesome, I had it on SNES, can't imagine MD version looking much better.
Oh okay, i played saw the opening levels from each game, and the SNES game looked WAY better. Way more colours and much more detail. I dont get it, the Virgin Disney games seem like they dont put much effort into the backgrounds, like in Lion King too.

But yeah, which version is better gameplay wise?
I really liked it on genesis, SNES just wasn't as fun. I was amazed when I first played that game on genesis when it came out. with buying the upgrades etc. I loved it
I liked the SNES one more, but either way I don't think it's that great of a game. You can find way better platformers out there.
played both, genesis version was better

The games are completely different, both had different developers.
I remember playing both versions, but I don't remember which one I liked more :P

I hear different and x is better than y version, but no specifics. Doesn't help those who don't really know the differences.

you have a sword in the genesis version AND throw apples.....and in the snes version you could only throw apples....
I played the genesis version and a little bit of the snes version. The genesis version is better in graphics andpresentation but when it comes down to the platforming I think the SNES version is better. In the SNES version you don't have the sword but you can bounce on the enemies to ''kill'' them.It actually works a lot better than the sword in the genesis version. I also thought the genesis version was a lot tougher, very little health kits, the characters are a lot larger which means there's less room to run and dodge enemies and the running and jumping was hard to get used to - I think it was because of the animation for Aladdin. (I checked wikipedia and supposedly some of the guys that worked on Earthworm Jim also worked on the genesis Aladdin - no wonder I don't like it as much I didn't like EJ either because of the bad timing). The snes version also has some levels that are not from the movie.

I always said to everyone, which Aladdin game do you prefer? The one where he swings a sword (Genesis) or the one where he uses apples to defeat his enemies (SNES).Genesis Aladdin FTW!!!
I had this game for genesis and I think it was better
I only played the snes version i think its one of the best kid movie game ever:P
