Battle of the 16-bit Castlevanias - Which is the best and why?

Super Castlevania IV

Castlevania Chronicles

Castlevania Bloodlines

Castlevania Rondo of the Blood

So yeah, which do you think is the best and why? Oh and i know not all of them are 16-bit but you know from that era.Battle of the 16-bit Castlevanias - Which is the best and why?
BLOODLINES! The music is amazing, I like the colors in the game, very vibrant and appealing, you get to attack things at angles, and it plays faster. Then when you get to the other levels, it just gets nuts with the gameplay.Battle of the 16-bit Castlevanias - Which is the best and why?
My friend told me that Dracula X was best. I did not play it yet because I did not have Turbo Grafx/Duo yet.
I like all of them, with the exception of the SFC Akumajou Dracula (which is actually a remake of the original Akumajou Dracula) due to its awful slow-pacing and poor controls that make it a pain to play.In my opinion Rondo of Blood it's the best, as I feel it has more merits. It was truly a groundbreaking game for it's time (1993), and it was very much the game that pretty much convinced Konami alongisde the rest of the Japanese gaming companies (with the obvious exception of Nintendo it seems) that the CD-ROM media format had to become the standard in the next-generation of gaming. Taking into account that the PC-Engine was the most technologically relegated system, what Konami accomplished with Rondo of Blood was truly remarkable, and all thanks to the CD-ROM data storage capacity.
Also, in my opinion Vampire Killer (AKA Blood Lines) has better gameplay than Rondo of Blood, but it just didn't felt as groundbreaking. I was only able to play Rondo of Blood until I bought it online back in 1997, and it still felt stunning for that time.

Rondo of Blood. I wanted to play this game for the longest game. In fact, it was the first import game I ever wanted to play. I got my wish when Dracula X Chronicles was released, and was not disappointed in the slightest. The cool thing about RoB is that it took a page from CV3 and had branching paths. Maria was totally broken.
I tried Super Castlevania and Bloodlines, got a few levels in but i vowed to finish them only after my exams. As always, Bloodlines doesnt seem to get much respect, with Super still being heralded as the second coming. I mean i enjoyed them for their great atmosphere, music and challenge, but what really sets them apart.

I recently got the compilation on my PSP, Rondo was just super hard but i also decided to hold off until i played the other two games i wouldnt touch it, so in the meanwhile, im reliving the glory of SOTN. How do you compare the X68000 game, GS dont seem to fond on it though.

The new Playstation re-edit was terrible (they transformed Simon into a transvestite), but the original X68000 version alone is worth getting the game.
It's a toss up for me between 4 and bloodlines. They were both rock solid games.Hard decision it's a tie for me really. One on the snes and the other on the genesis...:?

[/QUOTE]Oh okay, so it CV1 on NES got TWO remakes?
