Best cable for connecting an original Xbox to an HDTV?

I've had my eye on the Xbox for a while now and I won't be able to connect it to a standard CRT TV. I often hear complaints about the quality of component cables. Other options I have noticed are VGA, s-video, RGB scart. What would my best bet be?Best cable for connecting an original Xbox to an HDTV?
i think VGA cause it automatically fits the picture in the screen to best possible resolution! i did this with my dmcst and wow what an improvement!Best cable for connecting an original Xbox to an HDTV?

My other options are RGB SCART, component and s-video. Do all of these output in progressive scan? Which one would you recommend the most?

There are plenty of VGA cables for original Xbox on eBay. VGA goes to 1080P, so it is the best you can use for Xbox original. Component is your next best option.

You have to look for Xbox VGA box not cable.http://sewelldirect.com/MayFlash-Component-to-VGA-Box_specs.asp?source=froogle%26utm_source=Froogle%26utm_medium=cse
Audio is nice, but you can't get by without video, so I suggest you start with the standard yellow video jack that comes with the system, then add in the red and white audio jacks when you're feeling ambitious.
