In my opinion it has to be Tomba! that games is on par with final fantasy VII and MGS1, in fact i think its better than those game convined! Here r some pics:Best games no-one played?
Little Nemo: The Dream Master. One of my NES favourites, and I've never seen anyone talk about it.

Roadkill is a great game that came out on all 3 last gen consoles. Its got some cool missions, hilarious cutscenes and radio talk. RoadKill (Playstation 2)
Alundra:

Oh damn. I have almost forgot about that game. A friend of mine had it when we where little, used to play it alot. Time to go and buy it for old memories sake.
Alundra was excellent on PS1. MegaMan Legends 2 may have eluded you as well on PS1.

Most gamers have sadly forgotten about them. They were excellent games, but not many played them when they were released. Same goes for the Tomba games mentioned earlier.
I've never heard of a Little Nemo game, but that movie consumed my childhood xD.
urban chaos: riot response (fps (xbox and ps2))primal (adventure ps2)darkwatch (fps ps2)alien shooter: vengance (hack %26 slash rpg (pc))TES: chapter 2: daggerfall (pc rpg (largets rpg in recorded history.. PERIOD)
Gamecube's Beach Spikers

Playstation's Ghost in the Shell
As far as RPG's go, I'd probably say Shadow Hearts 1 and 2.

I also enjoyed Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.
blackthorne snes
Alundra:
Fair graphics for a PS title. I want to play this game now.
I've never even seen it mentioned anywhere on these forums.
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne
Brave Fencer Musashi
Alundra was excellent on PS1. MegaMan Legends 2 may have eluded you as well on PS1.
It eluded me. I couldn't afford it at the time and my local rental chains didn't carry it. I haven't been able to find it(at a reasonable price). It has since become my ''white whale''. Now, back to the topic at hand. One game that got overlooked was Mischief Makers on the N64.

One of my favourite games ever.My choice, since yo ualready brough up Tomba, is Blood Will Tell. That was an amazing game that just wasn't advertised. it's really unfortunate, because it was a lot of fun

Loved that series so much.As for my vote, it would probably have to to The Twisted Tale Of Spike Mc Fang for the SNES. A great Zelda/RPG hybrid easily looked over and never mentioned.
gotta say I loved both brave fencer and tomba 1, never played tomba 2 though
