Could there be any laid back gamers that don't own new systems?

Do you guys think that somewhere there is a laid back gamer that doesnt see the need to buy any current gen consoles but owns probably just a ps2 or nothing else? Or maybe something older such as a ps1 or SNES and thats all they need to feel content? Just curious really. I think that is pretty cool. I never feel the need to get the latest and ''greatest''. Im swamped as it is .Could there be any laid back gamers that don't own new systems?
Sure TC I have a friend who only plays his gamecube,SNES, PS2, Xbox and the dreamcast I lent him(although he does own a DS lite). He doesn't really want a new system he always says he doesn't like the way the industries is heading now a days. I myself play my PS2 and PSX games more than my PS3 and 360 titles.Could there be any laid back gamers that don't own new systems?
Well I'm like that. I just own a PC, Xbox, Genesis, NES, GameCube and DS lite. I own most of the good Xbox games, rarely use my GameCube, haven't used my NES or Genesis in AGES, enjoy my DS lite regularly and I do a lot of old school gaming on my PC. I don't really buy new consoles until well after they've launched, mostly because of financial issues... and I am happy :)
Hey thanks you guys, I'm like that myself Hell I buy consoles WAY after launch. I really see no need if I am content with the games on the last or even older gen consoles. Interesting what you guys have to say :)
I don't own any current gen systems, or last gen systems. For some reason they all disappeared, so now I play at friends houses. I do have a DS and PSP though, and I'll probably buy a PS3 when the slim comes out (hopefully it does) since none of my friends own one.I mean it's not like I don't want to buy them all, and I could, but I just feel that it's a bit too late in the gen. I'd rather just play my friends stuff now instead of own my own systems. Then next gen I'll be first one to get them all! :P
i only have a ps2 and still love it
My newest console is the gamecube but that's for reasons unknown :S
Yep I'm the same way. I used to own a Wii, but like your friend I don't like where gaming's going. Ps2 is the best system for me.
Funny.
I own a Wii and a DS, and I'm getting a PS3 soon. I still play my Gamecube and N64 ALL THE TIME, especially Gamecube. My little brother and I still love to play Soul Calibur II and Mario Kart and Star Fox: Assault and many others. People say the Gamecube wasn't a very good console, and I strongly disagree. And I don't even play Gamecube games on my Wii, I greatly prefer to play on the Gamecube itself. So I still love the older consoles a lot and I will always keep playing them.

It just didn't get the support it deserved from third parties devs.

I do own all the newer consoles wii, 360, ps3 BUT I play my ps2 waaaaaaaaaay more due to the ps2 having so many good games and a very good price, to be honest I don't like newer gen games that well they seem less fun and unoriginal to me.
Yup, i know quite a few.
That sounds great really. I wanted to reinstall my Genesis but i lost one of the wires. :( Im really sad.

I posted something similar to this recently. I own a GC and PS2 and there are still many games I want to play on PS2. I won't be getting any next gens for a long time.
Given ive been into RPGs so much these days, i spend a lot of time playing past-gen games
My mom is pretty much PS One onry. All she ever plays is Gran Turismo 2 and Final Fantasy.
Of course there are. Why wouldn't there be?
