Yo I've got a question, as explained by the topic title, about what exactly my PS2 can do. I have a black, slim PS2, got it in 2006. It says DVD on it, on one corner of the top. I heard somewhere that the PS2 could play DVDs. I tried, but simply got a screen which was like the normal background, but read themed instead of blue, which had a white message on it: Pleas inert a PS2?Format Disc. So I was like, ''Huh, I'll look it up on line.'' Well I never got around to it, so I figured I'd ask here. Also, recently, one of my friends with a PS2 phat told me he used it as his primary DVD player. So I was very confused. Help, anyone? Is there something special I need to do to my PS2?Question about the PS2's capabilities...
The question that comes to mind is, what kind of DVD did you put in the PS2? If it was burned, then the PS2 won't read the disc. The PS2 should be able to play read-only DVDs.Question about the PS2's capabilities...
No, it wasn't burned. IIRC it was the 2005 release of Serenity, just an ordinary DVD.
Hmm, that's weird. Have you tried any other DVDs?
PS2 should have dvd playback compatibility. I suggest trying other discs, as some can cause problems in certain players; but if it keeps doing the same it's very strange.
Yes, the PS2 plays DVD's.
OK it worked now, but time for the big question: What is the quality like? And how do I permanently adjust parental control settings? Couldn't find it anywhere in the System Configuration.
