i know that these days we can easily download games onto our Xbox/PS3/Wii, but would you rather play the downloaded version or the original version? What would you rather? original games or download?
I'd much rather have the hard copy of a game, but if the only pheasable copy to obtain was by download then I'd get that one instead, In a perfect world I'd just have both. What would you rather? original games or download?
In a dream world Bionic Commando Rearmed and Wii Vritual Console , download. In reality I get originals, my latest conquest Odin Sphere-Greatest Hits.
Should have been a poll, but as far as qestion goes - hardcopy all the way :)
I would love to be able to download a lot of old classics, but for me to think it's a good deal and actually do it, it would have to be cheap. These days they're over 50% too expensive for my taste.
I would prefer the original hardcopy, makes me feel like i actually own the game. But if i really wanted to play the game and there was no other way of gettting it then i guess i would just have to deal with downloads
I would like to have the Disc copy than the downloadble because if your Mem stick goes haywire you can stil be able to play it.
When the hard copy is available, i will always take it. If not, i'm happy with the downloadable version.
i've even bought hard copies of some games I found after downloading.
hard copy.
I much rather have the original. There's something about playing the game on the original system it was intended for; I can't explain it
I would rather have the original.
Now that I have so many systems I prefer the downloads. Original copies are great but then I have drag out a system and hook it up everytime I wanna play it.
Such as Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, I love having all those Genesis games on one disc. I wish more collections like that would be released.
I would rather have the original version.I will play and sometimes buy download versions, but for me the originals are the way to go.
For me, it depends more on price, disk space, and convenience than whether I get a physical object to represent my possession or an un-scratch-able, un-smash-able data source. Generally, games require the disk/cartridge to be in the drive/slot before they'll allow themselves to be played, making download preferred due to convenience. With very old games though, there is another factor: Enhancement. If a port of an old classic does not have a graphical upgrade, additional metagame objectives, and/or added levels, I usually consider it a rip-off.
I think most people would rather have a hard copy.
However, a digital copy is often much cheaper and reliable than a 20 year old cartridge and system.
Depends on which one is cheaper, and whether or not I have the platform the original game is on. But the former is the thing I tend to take into consideration more though, as if I can get a game at cheaper price I'll do it. And in my experience, the downloadable version tend to be the one that's cheaper. That and I don't own many old consoles (the oldest ones I own are the PlayStation 1, and the Nintendo 64), so downloading 'em from services like the Wii's Virtual Console is my only option for getting 'em most of the time. As there are times when I get the original version. Though it doesn't happen very often.

People always want a hard copy, but I want a download for some of my stuff here and there because I will have less to keep track of. This also insures that I can keep all the stuff I will be buying in mint condition because I will have less stuff to worry about.
harcopy is nice but am satisfied with download. there really should be an option for either one.
A downloadable copy thatI can save to disk is what I'd want. Hard drives mess up all the time.
Downloads because it will avoid the problems that cartridges and CDs have.
