Wow. TMNT 2 is really bad.

When I was younger I played all the TMNT games. IV being my favorite of course, but I do remember playing both 2 and 3 with friends, and enjoying them a lot. I just put in TMNT 2, and all I have to say is what the hell is up with the first hit always landing, and the second attack having no hit detection whatsoever? I keep getting hit because my attacks just won't hit at all, and the foot soldiers always grab me even from the front...I just don't get it. A long time ago I thought this game was awesome, and now all I can say is it's one of the worst games I've ever played. I think three was made by the same developers, so I have no hope for that one at all, so I think I'm going to not even consider buying that, and just move on to some of the much better games for NES.Any good co-op games aside from Contra that you guys can remember from the NES days? I would like something to take over to my friends house, and play.Wow. TMNT 2 is really bad.
Hmm.. Co-op NES games.. Snake Rattle %26 Roll is fun. Double Dragon and Battletoads are nice too. I loved Chip %26 Dale when I was a kid, and I've recently learned that it can be played cooperatively. I seriously gotta try that.. Two fantastic co-op games are Gradius and Life Force. I've really liked them ever since I first played them, and they are definitely more fun co-op.And yeah, the NES Turtles games were pretty disgusting. I can't believe I had fun with the first one as a kid.. :P I have vague memories of the 2nd (didn't play the 3rd one at all), since most of my time was spent on the 4th.Wow. TMNT 2 is really bad.

That game was awesome. Same with Double Dragon and Battletoads. Sadly neither game was at the store I went to today, so I may have to order online.
I have to agree with you. I can't believe that I also used to like the 1st turtles game, as that was ridiculously hard. I did managed to beat it a lot of times. TMNT 2, I also agree with you on there (The Arcade version is a million times better). I think that TMNT 3 on NES was the best of the bunch, followed by Turtles In Time on the SNES. I have both of those still, %26 I sometimes play them on my FC Twin system. As a matter of fact, you might want to take a look at these reviews that I dug up for them.TMNT 1 Review.TMNT 1 Review by another user, plus more TMNT reviews.
really odd nes co-op game is kung fu heroes it's not the best nut i remeber it as being fun

bubble bobble though is fantastic
I remember playing all the NES TMNT games way back when and I didn't like the first too much as it was too difficult, let alone for a kid to play. Did any of you play The Hyperstone Heist on the Genesis? I loved that one.
