I need RPG's!!!

So I'm looking forward to my summer, wasting half of it in countless hours of gameplay in RPG. No new games are looking to good for PS3 that's coming out so I'm breaking out the PS2.



I already started playing Kingdom Hearts 2 and later FFX. I need a game with: long gameplay hours, a storyline so good it makes you cry (not really cry, but you get the picture), and a good battle system.

If your looking for RPGs and are willing to play PS1 games on your PS2 you should try FF 7,8 and 9, i mean i have not played them but my friends have and they all see they are awesome RPGs. I have got Star Ocean till the end of time, dont no much about it, but it looks like a good game you shoul look into that. I have seen alot of people talk about Dragon Quest on the PS2 dont no much about it my self but you should look in to that also.I need RPG's!!!
You and I are in the same boat, man. I'm looking for PS2 RPGs for this summer, too. xDFFX is about the perfect fit for the description you gave, but since you already have that... Have you tried Final Fantasy XII? In my opinion it has something of an [i]excellent[/i] storyline, but I think the gameplay is not so great. That's just me, though. You could REALLY spend a lot of time on that game.Like the person above said, the PS1 FF games might be good choices as well.Here are a few other PS2 ones you might like:Tales of the Abyss (heard it's EXCELLENT, but never played it)Persona 3 or 4. I have persona 4 and kinda got bored with it. Im not looking for ps1 games because they're expensive.XD
PS1: Final Fantasy 6,7 and 9, Parasite Eve 1 or 2, Hogs of Warmaybe?PS2: Kingdom Hearts 1 (Thats if you've havn't played the first one yet), Dragon Quest 8, Rogue Galaxy, Final Fantasy 12 and Star Ocean tile the End of Time.
Yeah, I can understand that. They are kinda up there in price.

They are kinda up there in price.[/QUOTE]Yea the games that have been mentioned r quite pricey, but if you shop around you can pick then up fora good price, i mean i pick up ico yesterday in gamestation ( uk verison of gamestop ) for £9.99. nad i could have had another copy of star ocean for £9.99. and both these games cost and £30 on ebay or amazon.
Even though it's on PC and Xbox, and not PS2, I have to recommend Morrowind.

You can find a lot of the Square releases (FFVIII, Chrono Chross) on Amazon for like $20... that's pretty cheap by video-game standards.

I don think FFVII is out yet :(. But thanks for the recommendations. I remember playing legaia when i was like 6 or 7. Loved it but was too noob to play it.XD and i hear dark cloud 2 story kinda lacks.

FFVII was on the PSN yesterday!
You need to play the Golden Triforce of Final Fantasy games.



Final Fantasy VI, VII and VIII.



Also, Chrono Trigger is a must-play.
Dude, Download Suikoden off of the PSN you will be GLAD you did.
I played the one in DS and I liked it. But WHAT TO GET!!!!!



FF7 or Suikoden!!!????



Plus i just noticed when i was a very small child (4-5) i had ff7 and ff8.... i left it back in my old house and i think my keepers threw it away...T.T
