Xenogears?

I recently picked this up and before starting was just checking if its the first in the series?
Also, i hear alot that this games story is up there with the best of them, but without ruining it, whats the story roughly about?Xenogears?
Great game. It is the first in the series. Xenogears is the prequel to Xenosaga for the ps2. - the story has little relevance however.



The story is about a man (Fei) who's village gets attacked by ''gears'', and Fei is able to take and use one of the gears against the enemy. The gear is not your normal civilian ground patrol, and many battles and secrets are bound to be revealed. Xenogears?
Prepare to be shocked, the story is one of the best, if not THE best of any rpg out there minus a few wRPG's.

Xenogears is my favorite RPG of all time.. Man I love that game,
I want this game so badly. I really hope they put it up on PSN sometime this year. Since Final Fantasy VII is already on it and Metal Gear Solid will be up in 2 weeks, I don't see why they can't push for this game as well.
Xenogears was amazing with an amazing story (yet gets sorta confusing later on). Highly HIGHLY recommened this.
I played though it a couple weeks ago it was one of the best games ever made I loved it so much the story is amazing I'm never getting rid of my copy
