Metroid Fusion boss question

I have gotten to a very hard boss in Fusion, its during the part where you must turn on the power again. The boss is some robot spider called Yakuza. It shoots firesballs and grabs you and drags you up then slams you down on the ground. I know you have to turn into ball form in a corner but sometimes it grabs me anyway. Also, how do you get out its grasp? A guide says you have to do < > A B to get out but it won't work, only once did I ever break free. Now, I have tried about 8 or 9 times and it is very annoying. What zone is it...I fought a spider thing in the heat climate zone. The way I beat that is from shooting down from hanging on to the ceiling, then move and drop and run the jump back up and do it all over again.sorry if this didn't helpMetroid Fusion boss question
The best advice I can give is not to get grabbed. I have never broken away from it's grasp, I didn't even know it was possible. With practice though, you can learn where it is moving and get out of the way. When in morph ball, don't just hide in a corner. You can move around if you see it coming towards you and I believe it's also possible to jump over it when it's at it's lowest point.



Just practice some more, I know you'll get it!
AVOID getting grabbed AT ALL TIMES. You will die easily if you do. To expand on this, you CAN escape but you have to rock the control pad like mad to get out.Anyways, Morph Balling into the corners will decrease your chances of getting grabbed. When he prepares his attack (flame breath) get underneath him and feed him a load of missiles/charge shots.Eventually, he will break down and spin-jump all over the place like crazy. Pound him with missiles, but only when he's not spin-jumping. Avoid the stuff he throws at you also.Soon, it will be a Core-X. Bust this down, get the Space Jump. Then spin-jump your way out of there and you're done.

Ok thanks, now I finally know how to escape. I'll try some more...
